Fruits and Vegetables

Your body extracts water in large amounts from the tracts of the intestines if it does not receive enough water daily. This makes the bowels hard and dry, leading to constipation. To ensure that your stool is soft, drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water daily. If this is hard for you, then incorporate diluted fruit juices or vegetable juices into your meals.
